The staff and students of Cavendish strive to build and support a community of love, kindness and charity. Charity is not only about the giving of money or goods but also the giving of time, expertise and showing someone that you care.

When the home group system was introduced in 2015, we started off with the slogan “Scatter Kindness” which truly set the tone for our future endeavours.

Last year (2016) Cavendish supported the elderly. We invited elderly men and women to join us for a lovely tea. Our students (together with the St Declan’s boys from the house Brennan) entertained the crowd with songs, dances and poetry. Each elderly person received a gift at the end which included a blanket, delicious treats and toiletries. All the gifts were donated by Gracie girls and St. Declan’s boys.

This year, we will be hosting the December Christmas market. Our theme throughout this year has been “Super heroes of the community”, therefore all proceeds from the Christmas market will be donated to the brave men and women of the CPF.
